THE FIRST DAY OF “MONTENEGRO OKTOBERFEST” IN BUDVA WAS PHENOMENAL WITH GOOD QUALITY MUSIC AND THE GREAT ATMOSPHERE
“The goal was to offer Budva and our tourists a different content, to bring new guests at the end of September and prove that the tourist summer season can last even longer and, at the same time, rely on a brand that is strong enough to position Budva once again at the very top of good entertainment on the Adriatic “- said after the first night of the” Montenegro Oktoberfest “MladenFranović, AEXD of the Tourist Organization of Budva.
In co-organization with the Color Press group, this event is being held for the first time in Montenegro and it is already quite certain that it will continue in the following years.
After the first Montenegrin “Oktoberfest” was opened by the AEXD of TOB MladenFranović and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Robert Weber, the spirit of Munich officially “moved”into Budva.
Famous Bavarian sausages, pretzels, draft beers and charming waitresses in traditional costumes “overrun” the City Park, which was too small to receive all visitors.
The atmosphere was brought to a climax by Bruno Langer, the frontman of the band “Atomic Shelter”, who, with a rejuvenated band on the scene, returned the audience to a time when hits such as “Yellow Umbrella”, “I’m a Marine Mother” or “Hellfire Drivers” were the anthems of many generations who appreciate the truth, freedom and common spirit. The connection between the audience and the “Atomic shelter” is inseparable and it was shown by the incredible reaction of the audience during the performance of the song “For love you must have a soul”, which was once again performed duringencore.
“I want the Oktoberfest, the festival of beer, sausages and all that to continue, that people are happy and cheerful, and we are honored to be at the first one, because it is always remembered who performedat the first festival,” said Bruno Langer last night and recalled another one of his guest appearances in Budva, at the first organized New Year’s Eve 2000:
“It was magnificent, I will never forget that, the New Year’s Eve. After that, RTVCG often broadcasted that image, which was amazing, the quality of sound and the image, it was incredible! I live in Istra, near Italy, where my son-in-law and daughter from Germany were watching the direct broadcast, and then the Italians presented their New Year’s Eve celebration in Milan and Rome. It was nothing like the atmosphere and scenography in Budva, I do not exaggerate anything, because the scenography and everything that was going on was five times better in comparison to the great Italians.”
After the mug holding contest, the first evening of the festival ended with the sounds of Irish folk music and the fantastic performance of the band “Ortodox Celts”. “Montenegro Oktoberfest” continues tonight (Saturday, September 22nd) with the performances of Budva City Music band, “So Sabi” and “Bad Copy”.
